New Beginnings

If I’m being honest, lately I’ve been feeling pretty jaded with the online world. Everything has become so superficial. People post stuff and say things without repercussions, not caring that on the other end of their keyboard is another person, a human being.

Every site you visit there’s another flashy video playing and ads galore. Our newsfeeds are filled with celebrity gossip and other meaningless junk. It’s exhausting and draining. I think with all the digital noise, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s truly important.

I feel like what this digital world is really missing is a safe haven, with deep and meaningful content and connections. A place where we can have real, honest, respectful conversations. And that’s where the idea for Simplicity Story was born.

My goal for this new website is to keep things simple. Just a simple website to go along with my goal of living life as simply as possible, and helping you to do the same.

My original website, Decor by the Seashore, will always hold a very special place in my heart, but I feel as if I have outgrown it, and lately my heart is pulling me in a new direction.

This new website is going to be “different” than the average site. I’m not going to do all.the.things. “they” say to do to make it successful. Because I’m not doing this for “them.” I’m doing this for me and for you.

And so it might never take off or become super popular. But it just might be exactly what I need, and what you need. And that’s all that matters.

My ultimate goal for Simplicity Story is to lead a simple life, by example, and to help you do the same. And that goes for my business too. Keeping all things simple.

I hope you will follow me in this path less traveled. It is my sincere desire to help you do the same. This is my version of my Simplicity Story. I’d love to help you write your own.
